Traditional load cell pedals measure force through static compression of rubber. The GT-S compresses air in a sealed cylinder — the same physical principle as a racing brake caliper. This is what it means in practice.

What makes the GT-S different from load cell pedals?

The GT-S uses the pneumatic R-Piston V5 instead of a static load cell with rubber elastomers. Pressing the brake compresses air inside an industrial-grade cylinder, creating progressive resistance that rises exponentially — like brake fluid in a real race car. Air does not fatigue or soften with heat, so the pedal feel stays identical for years.

Do the GT-S pedals feel like real hydraulic brakes?

Yes. The GT-S replicates the pressure curve of a real master cylinder using compressed air and industrial NBR seals — authentic initial bite and exponential resistance, with no risk of oil leaks or fluid changes.

Are the GT-S pedals compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox?

The GT-S connects via USB-C and works natively on PC (USB 2.0 / 3.0), where every MySETUP function is fully unlocked. For PlayStation and Xbox, the pedals work through the DriveHub adapter (sold separately by third parties).

Do I need a rigid cockpit for the GT-S?

Yes. The high brake forces of the pneumatic system require a rigid cockpit with a firm pedal mount. The GT-S is not recommended for flex-prone wheel stands, unreinforced floor mounting, or cockpits without a solid seat-to-pedal connection. Can I adjust the brake travel and pressure of the GT-S?

Yes. Brake stroke is adjustable from 15 mm (stiff, short-throw) to 45 mm (progressive, GT/endurance-style) using the optional GT-S Travel Regulator. Brake pressure can also be fine-tuned in real time directly from your steering wheel or gamepad, without pausing the simulator.

What is MySETUP and is it included?

MySETUP is SRP's free calibration and telemetry software, available at simracing-pro.com/downloads. It loads custom progressive or linear brake curves, manages dedicated profiles for GT3, Formula and Endurance cars, enables real-time adjustments from the wheel, and unlocks PRO MODE algorithms designed with professional sim racers.

Ceramic pressure transducers with 16-bit resolution — 65,536 steps — over a high-speed USB-C interface. Ceramic sensors suffer zero thermal fatigue and SKF needle bearings eliminate mechanical play, so the finest inputs reach the simulator instantly. How much maintenance do the GT-S pedals need?

Practically none. The R-Piston combines a stainless steel body with industrial NBR seals rated for 3.5 million kilometers, and the chassis is CNC-machined AL6061 aluminum with a 28-micron hard anodized finish. Every unit is designed and built in-house in Barcelona.

What is the difference between the GT-S and the GT-R?
