SRP® GT-S — Pneumatic Sim Racing Pedals

The compact entry into SRP® pneumatic braking. The GT-S shares the same R-Piston V5 brake system as our flagship GT-R — dynamic air compression that reproduces the pressure curve of a real master cylinder, with no elastomers and no maintenance — in a smaller, more accessible package.

Every unit is designed, CNC-machined and assembled in-house in Barcelona, and individually inspected before shipping.

Pneumatic Technology Explained

Traditional load cell pedals measure force through static compression of rubber. The GT-S compresses air in a sealed cylinder — the same physical principle as a racing brake caliper. This is what it means in practice.

How It Works

A Resistance Curve That Matches Reality

Compressed air produces progressive, non-linear resistance — the same curve your foot learns in a real GT or Formula car. Elastomers respond mostly linearly and soften as they heat up. The R-Piston's curve stays identical at lap one and lap five hundred: no thermal fade.

Reliability Data

Rated for 3.5 Million Kilometers

The R-Piston combines a stainless steel body with industrial NBR seals — thousands of racing hours without performance degradation, and no replacement parts schedule.

Ecosystem

The Foundation of Your Setup

The GT-S is fully compatible with the SRP® vibration kits, heel rests and base plates — upgrade paths that bolt directly on, without replacing the pedal set.

Technology Comparison

Pneumatic vs. The Industry

The four braking technologies available in sim racing, compared on mechanism, feel and maintenance — factually.

Solid State

Load Cell + Elastomer

Mechanism

Static rubber compression against a force sensor.

Feel

Mostly linear response; depends on elastomer hardness.

Maintenance

Elastomers soften with heat and use; periodic replacement.

Where SRP® differs

Air dynamics do not fatigue — identical, temperature-independent feel for years.

Fluid Dynamics

Hydraulic Pedals

Mechanism

Oil displacement through a sealed circuit.

Feel

Realistic progressive curve and strong initial bite.

Maintenance

Fluid changes and potential leaks over time.

Where SRP® differs

The same progressive physics using air and industrial seals — no fluids, ever.

Motorized

Active Pedals

Mechanism

Electric servomotor driven entirely by software.

Feel

Fully configurable; response depends on motor and firmware quality.

Maintenance

Complex electronics; high dependence on software support.

Where SRP® differs

Pure mechanical physics with intuitive, tool-free tuning — at roughly one third of the price.

SRP®

R-Piston Pneumatic

Mechanism

Dynamic air compression in a sealed industrial cylinder.

Feel

Progressive exponential curve matching a real master cylinder.

Maintenance

None. Rated for 3.5M km with industrial NBR seals.

Professional realism, industrial reliability and a competitive price — in one system.

Cockpit Requirements

!

A rigid cockpit is required

The high brake forces of the pneumatic system demand a rigid cockpit with a firm pedal mount.

Not recommended for:

  • Flex-prone wheel stands
  • Floor mounting without reinforcement
  • Cockpits without a solid seat-to-pedal connection

Not sure about your rig? Send a photo of your setup to [email protected] and we will assess compatibility before you order.

Le frein a le meilleur ressenti de tous les pédaliers du marché, à peine installé, j’étais déjà beaucoup plus consistant sur mon freinage par rapport à mon ancien pédalier load cell, et ce pédalier est magnifique en plus de ça !!

Frequently Asked Questions

SRP® GT-S FAQ

What makes the GT-S different from load cell pedals?

The GT-S uses the pneumatic R-Piston V5 instead of a static load cell with rubber elastomers. Pressing the brake compresses air inside an industrial-grade cylinder, creating progressive resistance that rises exponentially — like brake fluid in a real race car. Air does not fatigue or soften with heat, so the pedal feel stays identical for years.

Do the GT-S pedals feel like real hydraulic brakes?

Yes. The GT-S replicates the pressure curve of a real master cylinder using compressed air and industrial NBR seals — authentic initial bite and exponential resistance, with no risk of oil leaks or fluid changes.

Are the GT-S pedals compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox?

The GT-S connects via USB-C and works natively on PC (USB 2.0 / 3.0), where every MySETUP function is fully unlocked. For PlayStation and Xbox, the pedals work through the DriveHub adapter (sold separately by third parties).

Do I need a rigid cockpit for the GT-S?

Yes. The high brake forces of the pneumatic system require a rigid cockpit with a firm pedal mount. The GT-S is not recommended for flex-prone wheel stands, unreinforced floor mounting, or cockpits without a solid seat-to-pedal connection. Send a photo of your setup to [email protected] for a free compatibility assessment.

Can I adjust the brake travel and pressure of the GT-S?

Yes. Brake stroke is adjustable from 15 mm (stiff, short-throw) to 45 mm (progressive, GT/endurance-style) using the optional GT-S Travel Regulator. Brake pressure can also be fine-tuned in real time directly from your steering wheel or gamepad, without pausing the simulator.

What is MySETUP and is it included?

MySETUP is SRP's free calibration and telemetry software, available at simracing-pro.com/downloads. It loads custom progressive or linear brake curves, manages dedicated profiles for GT3, Formula and Endurance cars, enables real-time adjustments from the wheel, and unlocks PRO MODE algorithms designed with professional sim racers.

How precise are the GT-S pedals?

Ceramic pressure transducers with 16-bit resolution — 65,536 steps — over a high-speed USB-C interface. Ceramic sensors suffer zero thermal fatigue and SKF needle bearings eliminate mechanical play, so the finest inputs reach the simulator instantly. An integrated LED board provides real-time status and calibration feedback.

How much maintenance do the GT-S pedals need?

Practically none. The R-Piston combines a stainless steel body with industrial NBR seals rated for 3.5 million kilometers, and the chassis is CNC-machined AL6061 aluminum with a 28-micron hard anodized finish. Every unit is designed and built in-house in Barcelona.

What is the difference between the GT-S and the GT-R?

Both share the same R-Piston V5 pneumatic brake. The GT-R (from 805,35 €) adds a fully adjustable Brake Travel Regulator, a full structural monocoque baseplate and advanced pedal angle adjustment as standard. The GT-S (from 599 €) is the more compact and accessible option, with those upgrades available separately.

What warranty do the GT-S pedals have?

3-year full warranty in Spain and 2-year full warranty internationally. If an issue arises, SRP ships replacement parts at no cost and covers outbound shipping. If a defective part must be returned, you have 15 days to send it by the most economical method.

Which upgrades and accessories are compatible with the GT-S?

The GT-S Travel Regulator (15–45 mm stroke), the BAP Base Plate, the GT-S Clutch Kit, the Heel Rest, the Foot Rest and the pedal vibration kits — all bolt directly onto the GT-S chassis.

What payment and financing options are available?

Financing is available through Klarna and PayPal (worldwide), Aplazame (Spain and Portugal) and SeQura (Spain, Portugal, Italy and France). The options available for your country are shown automatically at checkout.
